Welcome to Rupanthara Prardhana Mandhiram

Our Founders & God’s Divine Beginning
Rupanthara Prardhana Mandhiram was founded under the divine calling and vision given by God to Sister Sampoorna Amma Garu and Elia Garu. With humble obedience to the Lord’s direction, they began a small prayer fellowship in the year 1983, gathering just three believers in their home.
What appeared to be a small beginning was, in truth, a powerful move of God. Guided by faith rather than numbers, and sustained by fervent prayer, the ministry was built not by human strength but by divine grace. Those early gatherings were marked by sincere worship, deep intercession, and a strong desire to seek God’s presence.
Through seasons of testing and triumph, the Lord faithfully expanded the prayer fellowship into a growing church family. What began as a simple home prayer meeting has now become a testimony of 43 years of God’s abundant grace, provision, and unwavering faithfulness.
Over the decades, God has led the church step by step — strengthening believers, restoring families, healing the brokenhearted, and transforming lives through His Word. The vision entrusted to our founders continues to guide the ministry today:
As we reflect on these 43 blessed years, we humbly acknowledge that every achievement, every soul saved, and every testimony stands as evidence of God’s sovereign hand upon this ministry.
With gratitude in our hearts, we honor the obedience and dedication of Sister Sampoorna Amma Garu and Elia Garu, whose faithfulness to God’s calling laid the cornerstone for what Rupanthara Prardhana Mandhiram represents today.
May the Lord who began this good work continue to lead, strengthen, and expand His church for generations to come.
“To God be all the glory.”

As part of this blessed spiritual legacy, the Lord has also raised the next generation to continue His work. We gratefully acknowledge the calling and dedication of their beloved grandson, Joshua William Carey, who serves as the Reverend Pastor of our church.
In the year 2016, Rev. Pastor Joshua William Carey submitted his life fully to the Lord Jesus Christ, responding to God’s holy calling with humility and obedience. With a heart surrendered to Christ and a firm commitment to Biblical truth, he has devoted himself to the service of God’s Kingdom.
Today, by God’s abundant grace, he faithfully leads Rupanthara Prardhana Mandhiram with sound Biblical teaching, disciplined Scripture reading, and spiritual oversight rooted in the Word of God. His leadership reflects a deep reverence for Scripture, a passion for prayer, and a shepherd’s heart for the congregation.
In addition to his pastoral responsibilities, Rev. Pastor Joshua William Carey is also engaged in theological education as a professor, teaching in Bible colleges and equipping future servants of God for ministry. Through academic instruction and spiritual mentorship, he contributes to the strengthening of the wider Body of Christ.
We recognize that this continuation of ministry from one generation to the next is not by human design, but by divine appointment. As Scripture declares, “The Lord is faithful to all generations.” The same God who established this ministry through prayer in 1983 continues to guide and use His servants for His glory today.
With gratitude and reverence, we affirm that every step of this journey — from a small home prayer fellowship to a thriving church under present pastoral leadership — stands as a witness to God’s sovereign plan and sustaining grace.
May the Lord continue to anoint, strengthen, and use Rev. Pastor Joshua William Carey for the advancement of His Kingdom, and may Rupanthara Prardhana Mandhiram remain steadfast in its calling to prayer, proclamation of the Gospel, and faithful service for generations to come.
All glory, honor, and praise belong to God alone.
